Steroids messing with your head

AAS just like any drug, prescribed or otherwise, can have various effects on each person individually. Yes all of these side effects and more are POSSIBLE, but that doesn't mean they will happen. Which means the people who commented that the guy who wrote this is ignorant are wrong, and the people who said that they hoped it wasn't too late for their kid are wrong. The fact is is that you can see any commercial for any drug on television these days and the side effects are in the hundreds, usually ending in death, and this only applies to a limited number of people. The only truly ignorant statement about AAS would be the myth of roid rage. There was one guy who commented who seemed to have a lot of experience, and I agreed with him on this point. Roid Rage is a myth. However, if you take AAS then happy people are not necessarily happy people, sad sad, angry angry, etc etc. AAS are hormones. If it is not closely regulated you are going to have mood swings, and emotions that you wouldn't normally feel. Just like a woman on her period, pregnancy or menopause (what do you think those are anyway?) when a man OR a woman messes with their hormones, especially with something synthetic, it is going to affect your body and mind. Also, I agree with whoever wrote about doctors not knowing what they are doing. “Doctors are men who prescribe medicines of which they know little, to cure diseases of which they know less, in human beings of whom they know nothing.” Voltaire

June 14, 2011 2 week check up with surgeon. Doctor is very pleased with her progress. Pain is easing, appetite is better and energy is up. Mom tried to reduce the MS Contin to 60mg in morning and 90mg at night, but found the pain was not well controlled, so she's continuing on the 90mg morning and night. However, she has reduced the hyrdocodon from every 4 hours to just as needed, which is generally only once or twice during day. Pathology report: "Severe acute and chronic cholecystitis with intramural microabscess formation, mural fibrosis, and acute fibrinous serosal exudate." Translation: Very badly infected gall bladder, and has been for quite a while! Surgeon released her back into care of her primary and oncology doctors.

“There’s this drumbeat that muscularity equals masculinity, and so we’re seeing more and more young men with muscle dysmorphia,” says Pope. The consequences of this kind of thinking can be dangerous. As more and more men hit the gym in the hopes of transforming themselves into the Rock, many are also turning to anabolic steroids to achieve the muscle mass they associate with masculinity. Up to 4 million Americans—nearly all of them male—have tried steroids at some point, according to Pope’s recent research .

I find that the fatigue hits almost immediately after the attack, while the depression and despair hit during the attack.
In the ER today, I could feel the despair/ helplessness/hopelessness hit like a wave, and had to fight mentally to overcome it and stay calm. My attack took place out of town, and I had to walk 15 minutes to the ER, as I couldn’t talk on the phone (in my hand!!) nor would anyone respond to my attempts to flag down help. I truly didn’t think I would make it–inhaler didn’t even make a dent.
